Our RVICS project for February 2009 was New Life Advance International in San Juan TX. San Juan is located in the Rio Grande Valley near the junction of US highways 83 and 281. Their motto is “Serving Those Who Serve”. Their mission in San Juan is providing missionary guest housing.

Our ladies worked and annual deep cleaning of the apartments, shredding old documents, and sorting goods for the thrift shop.

Our men worked on building exterior cleaning, repair and painting, installing flower bed drains, building a cement step and flower bed wall, servicing equipment, gardening, landscape trimming, and many small repair items.

Tour and social were intermixed with a trip to a citrus gift packing facility, museum trip to Edinburg, the South Texas RVICS reunion, BBQ with Grace Community Church, Potluck and movie at San Juan First Baptist, Trips to Willie’s BBQ, Bibleville concerts, and travel to Mexico.

Mary and Ed both had some dental work performed while in Mexico.
